Founded in 2020 by Sofía Ribas and Marie Vorbeck.

We believe in a design that challenges norms and aims to be accessible. We are interested in working in various scales and realms of design, from furniture to urban strategies, since as we believe, every intervention has an impact in the whole picture. Our spatial solutions are rooted in our background of architecture and art –film media and installation. Affordability as well as a deep consideration of the spatial and social context are key to our process.

Sofía Ribas (Madrid, 1987) studied Fine Arts at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid and earned her BA and MA in Architecture and Urbanism at the UdK Berlin, with a stay at the FAU, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. She has worked at Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos as well as a teaching student assistant for Prof. Sobejano at the UdK Berlin, Chair for Experimental Forms and Principles of Design. She has assisted artists Monica Bonvicini, Alexandra Ranner and Line Skywalker among others and collaborated in the collective at the Raumerweiterungshalle, Selbstuniversität e.V., a space dedicated to non-commercial art oriented projects. Since 2020 she works as an academic assistant for Prof. Pedersen at the BTU Cottbus, Chair for Design and Construction within Existing Fabric.

Marie Vorbeck (Giessen, 1991) earned her BA and MA in Architecture and Urbanism at the UdK Berlin, with a stay at ETSAV in Barcelona. She has worked at Thomas Kröger Architekten and Studio Lisa Tiedje, as well as a teaching student assistant for Prof. Sobejano at the UdK Berlin, Chair for Experimental Forms and Principles of Design. Since 2019 she works as an academic assistant for Prof. Pedersen at the BTU Cottbus, Chair for Design and Construction within Existing Fabric.
